Toolbox - not able to log in because can't type in window

Hey guys,

I am using the toolbox on various systems, all Windows 10.

Today I tried to set it up on my new Razor Blade Stealth.

Installation went through, but now I am not able to log in, because I can't type my username and password into the window, neither can't I copy&paste it.

Keyboard types either in the background application (e.g. browser) or on the desktop. Mouse is working fine.

Any ideas?

Best,

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

Toolbox App restarting might help in this case. The issue itself is known and we'll try to fix it in one of the nearest updates.

Thanks for you answer, Artem.

Unfortunately, even restarting the whole computer does not help (neither does restarting the Toolbox). But I have this issue only on this computer so far.

Hi Tobias,

Could you please clarify exact Windows version (with build number) you are using.

Of course:

It's Windows 10 1803 Build 17134.191

On a different Computer I have the same Build, but there I signed in quite some time ago.

Best,
T.

Same issue. Windows 10 build 1803, Toolbox v1.10.4088. Complete inability to enter any credentials and log in.

Also this issue is not new. It has been recurring for a very long time randomly picking when to manifest itself or not.

I just installed the toolbox on windows 10 and had the same issue. Once I was able to minimize the toolbox to the system tray and then re-show it again I was able to type in the login box and login with my account.

Hi Tobias, try this:
Run toolbox with as administrator after closing all windows and background programs.
For me works perfectly.

I have this problem as well.

Running the tool box as admin has no effect.

And I have this problem as well. And there is another problem, that it is not possible to move or collapse toolbox window so it just overlaps system tray and does not allow you to use it. I think toolbox app must be redesigned and rewritten!

Hello! We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. We've fixed ALL-2982 which caused the issue. Could you please try using the latest Toolbox version and tell us about the results? We appreciate your patience!

Toolbox's latest version 1.12.4481 also has this issue. I am on Windows 7

Yep, here too.  Windows 10 Pro 1803.  Running as Admin fixed the typing issue.  But now no passwords I enter are recognized.  I copied it directly from the password manager and used the same password on the website (successfully)

Same issue with Win 8.1 Pro. I downloaded the Toolbox just now (V 1.12.4481) and am unable to type into the username or password fields, despite them looking like they have the focus.

Running as admin has no affect on it.
