Toolbox Login not working in Linux
In the Toolbox App Settings window, the "Log in..." Button is not working in Linux. This applies to Toolbox App 1.15.5387, OS kernel linux 4.12.14-lp151.28.7-default on x86_64 (openSuSE Leap 15.1).
When I click the button, nothing happens. No log file entry is created at this time. I tried with Ubuntu and had the same results. Since I know the expected behavior from the windows version, I guess there is an issue with the browser so I tried three different browsers as standard browser, but without success.
What can I do now?

I can confirm this same broken behavior with Toolbox App 1.15.5387, OS kernel linux 4.15.0-54-generic on x86_64 [Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (Bionic Beaver)].
When I enabled QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1, I was able to determine that the Toolbox appears to looking for the xcb library in an incorrect directory.
The library file exists on disk at /tmp/.mount_*/usr/share/jetbrains-toolbox/plugins/platforms/libqxcb.so, but the Toolbox is expecting it at:
usr/share/jetbrains-toolbox/platforms.
I hope this helps with a fix.

Thanks, Toby. I was trying to quick-fix this with a symbolic link but the file system at /tmp/.mount_jetbra* is read only. So I am lost and waiting for the JetBrains guys with a fix in the toolbox. :-)

I'm still seeing the problem with a fresh install of Toolbox 1.15.5666 on Ubuntu 18.04.2 (Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.15.0-55-generic x86_64) running in a virtual machine under KVM.
Also confirming with fresh install. Details: Toolbox App 1.15.5666, OS kernel linux 3.10.0-957.21.3.el7.x86_64 on x86_64

I still see the toolbox login button not working. I am running toolbox version Toolbox App 1.16.6067, OS kernel linux 4.15.0-70-generic on x86_64 on ubuntu 16.04.
I also have same problem with oauth authentication. Please fix or enable regular username/password auth.

I also noticed that new toolbox has removed user/password log-in and now supports only OAuth. The OAuth thing doesn't work with browsers installed from snap with or without --classic option. Please re-enable user/password authentication option.
Doesn't work for me with 1.16.6207 it opens a blank Chrome window but then nothing happens.
Doesn't work for me with 1.16.6319.
Even could not change installation location, and could not download app.
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
On Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Toolbox v. 1.16.6319 I was able to login using pre-installed Firefox. Was trying Chromium installed via snap, but it always failed to open the Toolbox window after I allow auth in browser.
This seems to still be broken on Toolbox version 1.18.7455.
Also does not work for me: Ubuntu 20.04, Toolbox version 1.18.7609
I have also the same problem with Toolbox App 1.18.7609, Ubuntu 18.04 (Linux 5.4.0-42-generic).
How to fix:
1. Set preinstalled Firefox as default browser
2. Restart JetBrains Toolbox
3. Click "Log in..."
4. Enter OAuth

It helps me on UBUNTU 20.04. Nice, it helps to you all to.
PS: in logs JB Tools writes only "cannot open path of the current working directory: Permission denied". What is mean?
this is now 1.5 years old and still occuring, crazy...
this makes the complete toolbox useless(!) when someone is not allowed to install firefox or does not want to install firefox
I managed to start the toolbox by double clicking on it... it started after may be 20-30 seconds.
Could not start it from Terminal.
I am on Ubuntu 20.04 that runs on VirtualBox on Windows 10.
I followed @... advice, but instead of Firefox, I changed default browser to Google Chrome. And it worked.
But is no use, because I still have to login in each product
I have the same problem: Clicking the login button is not doing anything.
One more thing that support told me. Logging in all apps using Toolbox login will not work if you are using "app passwords". You have to enter app for each product.
