Upgrading IDE in ToolBox offline
Answered
Hi,
I am working on a Linux machine which does not have a direct access to internet as it run on a restricted dev network.
Is there a possibility to upgrade / install new IDEs launched / managed from Toolbox offline (i can transfer the tar.gz manually to the machine)?
Thanks!

Hi Fred,
Unfortunately, no offline update functionality is available. You can download new builds from our website as tar.gz archives and install them manually for personal use. Toolbox App recognises installations when you create Desktop Entry, and you can continue to use the project tab features.
To create a desktop entry, do one of the following:
On the Welcome screen, click Configure | Create Desktop Entry
From the main menu, click Tools | Create Desktop Entry
If you use developer devices without internet access in business, please look at https://www.jetbrains.com/toolbox-enterprise/
Toolbox Enterprise is a new product that allows companies to centrally manage IDEs on developer machines, including supporting upgrades without internet access.
