New user issue with Toolbox on Windows 11 - exits when focus leaves the app

I'm a new user on Windows 11, and I am having trouble with Toolbox

Running Toolbox (from Start) simply adds it to the toolbar 's app tray and doesn't open it.

Clicking the toolbar icon (carefully) opens the dialog docked to the bottom right of the screen. Leaving the dialog for another window causes Toolbox to abruptly exit. The dialog and the system tray icon are gone. This makes updating or logging in very challenging.

I did reinstall the app, searched here for similar issues, and looked for any settings for “suppress irritating behavior” or something and came up empty.

My current solution is to download the entire distro for each app and reinstall for every update.

Is there a trick to installing or running Toolbox I'm missing?

Hello John,

Sorry for the inconvenience. We will investigate it in our bug tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/TBX-15003
Please attach toolbox.latest.log after reproducing the issue!

Logs can be found %localappdata%\JetBrains\Toolbox\logs folder.

I am getting this same issue.  Toolbox app does not remain in the app tray, even though the settings say that it should.  It is also verified in my startup list as seen in CCleaner.

Hi Hawkeye31415, sorry for the inconvenience. Could you clarify if you see the JetBrains Toolbox process in Task Manager?

If not, and the App crashes after launch, please create a new issue in our bug tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue?project=TBX

Also, attach the log files. It can be found in %localappdata%\JetBrains\Toolbox\logs Please archive the entire folder and attach the archive.
